The President

Danice Turpin

Danice Turpin is a specialist in technical education and workforce development. She has been working in the field of technical education since 1990 focusing in specialized industry training, certification programs, and embedded related foundational skills.  Her education includes a BS in Engineering Administration, MA in Education (Adult Education Concentration), and an Ed.S in Instructional Leadership. In addition to her position as Director of TCAT-Harriman, Mrs. Turpin is the chairperson of the Roane County Chamber of Commerce’s Education and Workforce Development Committee. She is a graduate of Leadership Roane County, a member of Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Plateau Park Partnership Industrial Development Board, and a member of Three Rivers Kiwanis Club. In 2014, she received the Roane County Woman of the Year award and in 2015 she received the Tennessee Postsecondary SkillsUSA Leadership award.  Mrs. Turpin has been a TN Promise (Roane Achieves) mentor since 2012. Her staff knows she values quality over quantity and that everyone benefits when a student is matched with an educational delivery system that works.
