The President

Chris Ayers

Chris Ayers is a highly experienced educator in technical education and workforce development. He has been working in the field of technical education since 1999 focusing in specialized industry training, certification programs, and dual enrollment.  Ayers served as TCAT-Harriman's Vice President for 11+ years before taking over the reins as President March 2024. His education includes a BS in Education, an MS in Instructional Leadership, and a post graduate certificate in Higher Education Leadership. In addition to his position as President of TCAT-Harriman, Ayers is a graduate of Leadership Roane County, Leadership Morgan County, Leadership Loudon County, Leadership Overton County, and Leadership East Tennessee. He has served as both team Leader and team member for the Council of Occupational Education (COE) as well as serving on the COE appeals committee. Ayers believes in teamwork and partnerships, and has served as an industry liaison during his time at TCAT-Harriman.
